THE JAMES SMITH PRIZE ENDOWMENT
The James Smith endowment to the IPPA supports the James Smith Prize, first awarded at the 2011 Prize awards in Merida, Mexico.
THE GERALD J. DIEBOLD PRIZE ENDOWMENT IN THEORETICAL PHOTACOUSTICS, PHOTOTHERMICS AND DIFFUSION WAVES
This new Prize was established in 2024 as a quadrennial award and was recently converted to biennial with additional support from Diffusion-Wave Diagnostic Technologies, Toronto, ON, Canada. It will be awarded along with the rest of the Prizes during the well-established biennial International Conference on Photoacoustic and Photothermal Phenomena.
Anyone interested in donating an extra IPPA Prize in their name (or in the name of a member of our Community) are strongly encouraged to do so. This will allow the Association to offer the opportunity of peer recognition through the awarding of its Prizes to more deserving scientists and engineers working in wide sectors of our field.
